Meet Ba Ba

Baba Olumo Akamara, affectionately known as “Baba” is a Babalawo in the Isese tradition in Ifa and is crowned Ogun. He is also initiated in Voodoo, other Spiritual practices, and practices High Magic, in accordance with the desires of his ancestors.
While he is a Babalawo, he identifies as Spiritual and not religious because of his calling. He is called to use his spirituality and training to bring healing, life, and transformation to others. Due to his extensive training and initiations he is equipped in training, initiating, and mentoring in IFA, Voodoo, and High Magic.
Baba received his Bachelor of Arts in communications, and has had an illustrious career before becoming a spiritualist. He has been an intern to Senator Robert Torricelli, and worked for BET. He is also a member of the Fraternity, Iota Phi Theta.
Baba is a family man and is married to Yemisi. Together, they help bring spiritual healing, love, acceptance, knowledge, and wisdom to others.
Meet Yemisi

Yemisi Akamara, (pronounced Yeh-Mee-She) is also known by her Author’s Name, Uni. She has received Advanced theological training from Denver Seminary. She was the Founder and Lead Pastor of Raven Brook Recovery Church.
Uni is a Certified life coach and recovery specialist which has come in handy with her working in the mental health field for 16 years. When it comes to spirituality, she is a multi-tradition practitioner. She practices Hoodoo, Voodoo, Ifa, and Witchcraft. Uni is a descendant from a long lineage of spiritual practitioners. She is a seventh generational Hoodoo Practioner tracing her matriarchial line all the way to 1805!
Uni has a strong foundation and expertise in Christian studies. She has been trained in Christianity her whole life, including undergrad at a Christian College and Graduate School (Seminary) as well as 10 years of training to become an ordained Pastor.
Uni is no longer a Pastor but has fully embraced her spiritual heritage and identifies as a Spiritual Practitioner. She is a Awo Ifa (Priestess) and is in training to be a Priestess of Olokun and Iyanifa when her Ori is ready. In addition to her knowledge and history with Christianity, she has also extensively studied, been trained, and practiced Witchcraft and Hoodoo throughout her life. Uni is also initiated in African Vodun through a lineage of Damaballah Wedo. In Ifa, she is crowned Oshun, and Olokun is her spiritual father.
Yemisi’s spiritual ancestry includes Hoodoo Practitioners, Pastors, Vodun Priests/Priestesses, and Celtic Witches. She has a lifetime of studies and practice between the three spiritual practices of Hoodoo, Christianity, and Witchcraft. This is one way, Uni pays homage to her ancestors and their legacies.
